West Highlands prides itself on the abundance of green space. Open land spaces have been strategically placed throughout the neighborhood to house future amenities such as parks, ball fields and courts, as well pools and other gathering spaces. The extensive green space already includes Heman E. Perry Park, featuring picnic areas, walking paths, playground and open green space. The Proctor Creek Greenway begins in the West Highlands and connects to the Beltline Trail. Once completed this trailway will stretch from the Centennial Park and the Beltline to the Chattahoochee River and beyond to the Silver Comet Trail.

West Highlands prides itself on community involvement.

The Westside Charter School was established by neighbors, individuals and families living on the Westside, who aim in increase educational equality in our growing part of Atlanta. As a homeowner you have the opportunity to get involved in shaping our growing community. Recent projects included Perry Boulevard Clean-Up Day, volunteering for Monday Night Brewing/Westside 10k which brings runners through our neighborhood and working with Trees Atlanta to keep our neighborhood beautiful.

In addition, West Highlands is also served by a larger body – Neighborhood Planning Unit-G (NPU-G) which is a citizen advisory group working on behalf of the City of Atlanta. NPU-G represents West Atlanta Heights, encompassing 14 neighborhoods (including West Highlands).

ARCHITECTURAL CONTROL COMMITTEE (ACC)

Are you planning to make exterior home improvements?  Considering replacing your roof, painting the house, screening in a porch, replacing/adding a deck or fence, installing a patio, etc.?  If YES, continue to read.

Have you submitted an ACC Request Form for HOA approval? If NO, continue to read.

All modifications to the exterior of your property must be submitted to the ACC for approval before any work begins.  If work is started without prior approval, the homeowner risks being cited for a covenant violation and may be required to alter or remove the changes at a significant additional cost to the homeowner.
